Boyzone Release 'Beautiful' Steven Gately Song

The last vocals recorded before the untimely death of BoyZone star Stephen Gately have been released by his bandmates BoyZone.

The track Steven Gately - Gave It All Away, written by Mika, was produced in the studio two years ago, however a music publishing problem stopped the band from releasing it at that time.

Steven Gately, who was aged 33, died from natural causes at his holiday villa on the island of Majorca in October 2009.

Steven Gately had been working on a new Boyzone album shortly before his death, and Ronan Keating said at the time of his death that Steven was the “most alive he had ever been”.

Ronan Keating, Steven’s close bandmate and friend today said "The four of us have given our heart and soul to this to make the best possible record we can make for Stephen and his family”. "Thankfully Stephen had recorded the entire song so we were able to go away and work with what he had done.
